Man oh man, talk about being AWOL…2.5 months since the annual SLTOA Veterans Run, 3.5 months since the last post here, time to get caught up.

We had good weather again this year and an excellent turnout of 28 folks in 18 cars, including 10 Triumphs. This year’s standout? The Police Interceptor, driven by the Sheppards. Once again the excursion started and finished at the Sunset Overlook in the flats below Columbia, Illinios. From there, a roughly 70 mile drive to Prairie du Rocher, with most of the time spent up in the bluffs enjoying the winding roads. The drive concluded with lunch at the Overlook.

With matching, this year we raised $1080 for the Disabled American Veterans. Thanks to all who made the drive and contributed to our vets!
