On 21 October, another great Fall Colours Drive, organized once again by Ed Kaizer. We had perfect weather and a turnout of about 20 people, driving seven Triumphs, two MGs, two Miatas, an Austin-Healey 100, one Morgan, one first-gen Mustang and a couple of SUVs.
The route took us from the McDonalds in Alton up the Great River Road to Principia College and its incredible overlook; to Eckert’s Grafton Farm; Pere Marquette State Park via the back way; and then a return drive to Alton for lunch at the Old Bakery Beer Company.
We’ve done the Fall Colours Drive for something like five or six years, Ed continues to do a great job organizing. AND, his luck has held the past couple of years: more than enough colors to make the drive entertaining and scenic.
