18 Sept 18—Monthly SLTOA meeting, at The Corner Pub & Grill, 13645 Big Bend Rd No. 105, Valley Park (Big Bend and Dougherty Ferry).

21 Sept 18—Traditional Pre-ABCCS Welcome BBQ, hosted by All British Car Repair, at the show site, Creve Coeur Lake Park, 5 PM until dark.  Burgers/brats/dogs with all the trimmings and soft drinks provided, please bring a side dish or desert and chairs.

22 Sept 1837th Annual All British Car & Cycle Show, Creve Coeur Lake Park.  Sponsored by the MG Club of St Louis with St Louis Triumph Owners Association handling the food concession.   This year’s featured marque is the Austin-Healey; the show field opens at 9 AM, registration through 12 noon, awards at 3 PM.  More information available at https://allbritishcarshowcom.

27-30 Sept 18—Stake Your Claim at Triumphfest ’18, hosted by the Triumph Travelers Sports Car Club, at the Sacramento Hilton-Arden West, 2200 Harvard St, Sacramento, CA.  The annual event is close to Gold Country, world-class wineries, historic sites and the splendors of the Sierra Nevada.  Info at www.triumphfest2018.org, or contact Cregg Cowan (650)619-8997.

16 Oct 18—Annual SLTOA Halloween Party/Meeting, at Jack and Bonnie David’s, 500 Marie Dr, St Charles.  Costumes strongly encouraged!

27 Oct 185th Annual SLTOA Fall Colours Tour.  Meet at McDonalds on Broadway in Alton at 10 AM, head out for a fun drive including a run through the campus of Principia College, drive will end at the Loading Dock in Grafton for lunch.  More info to follow.

18 Nov 186th Annual SLTOA Veterans Run.  Meet at the State Farm parking lot on Columbia Center, immediately south of the McDonalds on IL 3 in Columbia at 9:30, cars roll at 10 AM for a flats, hills and river run to lunch in Perryville, MO.  All proceeds from donations will go to The Semper Fi Fund, a non-profit which provides a variety of programs to assist wounded veterans and their families from all branches of the US armed forces.  More details to follow.

20 Nov 18—Monthly SLTOA meeting, Culpepper’s, St Charles.

7 Dec 18—Annual SLTOA Christmas Party, Missouri Athletic Club-West, details to follow, Niitakayama Nobore.

10 Feb 19—Annual SLTOA Polar Bear Run.  Traditional kick-off event for the driving/show season, more information to follow.

24-27 Apr 19—Annual South Central VTR confab, at the Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, TX.  This year’s event highlights the debut of the Wedge 45 years ago; the activities include a Funkhana, Gimmick Rally over North Texas backroads, an autocross, Triumph historical walking rally plus a 1974-appropriate costume contest at Thursday night’s Welcome Party.  Registration and schedule at http://redrivertriumphclub.org/2019-registration-home/.

22 Sept 18—MG Club of St Louis British Invasion: Cedar Lake Cellars/Pyromania!   At Cedar Lake Cellars, 11008 Schreckengast Rd, Wright City; come see absolute pyromania, the biggest fireworks display in the Midwest, described as “a concert in the sky.”  General admission $10 in advance, $15 at the door.  Gates open at 4 PM, fireworks show at 9:30 PM.  Monitor https://www.stlouismgclub.com/ for more details.

5-6 Oct 18—Annual Jaguar Association of St Louis Concours d’Elegance, Faust Park, 15185 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield.  The weekend starts Friday with car-washing at the Drury Inn, 12-5:30 PM, followed by registration and a cocktail party, 5:30-7 PM.  Cars go on display at Faust Park Saturday between 7 and 9 AM, judge’s meeting 11:15 AM to noon, judging through 3:30 PM with the awards dinner from 6-10:30 PM Saturday night.  Details to follow, monitor www.jagstl.com and the online Growl.

18 Oct 18—JAGSL Classics & Cocktails, sponsored by the Business Development Group.  View members’ classic cars while networking and sipping cocktails, prizes included.  At the Missouri Athletic Club-West, 4:30-7 PM rain or shine.  Limited to the first 40 cars; to register, contact Charley Baine at (314)255-3241 or call (314)539-4490.

21-22 Sept 18SIRBrit Motorcar Day on the River, hosted by the British Sports Car Club of Louisville, KY.  At Old Dam Park, 525 E Highway 662, Newburgh, IN. 28-29 Sept 18Memphis Euro Fest, hosted by the Memphis British Sports Car Club, Ltd.  At the Bartlett Campus of Youth Villages, 7410 Memphis-Arlington Road.  Number of classes increased to 30 this year, awards will include a people’s choice for each class.  Registration $30 per car/$15 per motorcycle, register on the show grounds Friday the 28th from 7-8 PM or Saturday the 29th from 8-10 AM.  Monitor www.memphisbritishcars.org for more information.

19-21 Oct 18—Annual Red River Shootout, hosted by the Red River Triumph Club of Fort Worth and the Central Oklahoma Vintage Triumph Register of Oklahoma City.  Host hotel is the Comfort Inn in Gainesville, I-35 and US 82, (940)665-5000.  Additional information available in the events section at http://redrivertriumphclub.org.

4-8 Oct 1824th Annual United States RoadRallyTM Challenge, hosted by the St Louis Region, SCCA.  Celebrating sports cars and rallying with four diverse events: Tulips By Night Divisional Touring Rally, Thursday 4 October; Kaskaskia Trails National Course Rally, Friday 5 October; Le Petit Rallye du Rocher National Touring Rally, Saturday 6 October; and Monopoly Redux Divisional GTA Rally, Sunday 7 October.  Banquet follows Saturday’s event.  Registration available at motorsportreg.com, entry deadline is 30 September; contact Rallymaster James Heine for details including schedules and fees, editorialsolutions@sbcglobal.net or (314)922-6120.

27 Oct 18—Pit stop #1 for the Route Sucky Suck Rally from Chicago to Los Angeles, sponsored/contrived by the 24 Hours of LeMons gang along with a number of unindicted co-conspirators.  As the name (sort of) indicates, a number of wholly unique vehicles will depart Joliet, Illinois the morning of the 27th and follow US 66 west to Santa Monica.  Overnight stop location is the Sleep Inn, 140 Venita Dr, O’Fallon (conveniently located next to an IHOP and MotoMart!).   For more information on the group (“Unwisely sponsored by Yokohama”), call up https://24hoursoflemons.com.

13-14 Oct 18—Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival, 500 N Lake Rd, Garnett, KS.  This year’s gathering honors all pre-1980 British cars; events include drives on the historic former race course, autocross, car shows and great food. 28 Sept-7 Oct—Military Vehicle Preservation Association Show-Me Missouri Convoy.  Starts and ends at the Auto World Museum in Fulton; convoy will travel to Jefferson City, Hermann, Montauk State Resort, Cuba and return with stops at the National Churchill Museum, Missouri National Guard Museum, Daniel Boone Home, Meramec Caverns, Fort Leonard Wood and other sites.  For info email halftrackjohns@att.net.
